WMT are the most spread in Europe yacht leasing standards accepted by MYBA. Yacht charter cost includes weekly lease and insurance of a boat and the crew and all the equipment of a boat. The cost does not include food and drinks, fuel, water, mooring in the ports, other extra expenses, local taxes and payments.
EMT is usually used in Turkey, Greece and Croatia waters. The cost includes weekly lease and insurance of a boat and the crew and all the equipment of a boat, crew catering, 3-4 hours way fuel, moorings and payments in ports, local taxes and payments. The cost does not include food and drinks on the board and other expenses. Half board and all inclusive systems are frequently offered.
CT of yacht lease usually include boat rent and insurance with all the crew and equipment, 3-4 hours daily treks, passengers and crew food, alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. The cost does not include mooring and port payments, communications and local payments.
It is important:
- a boat is rented at the owner’s price, the cost includes agency’s fee;
- on holydays (Christmas, New Year) and annual events such as Cannes festive or Formula One Grand Prix Monaco rent cost may differ upwards;
- all the principles are basic and may include additional options, for example a yacht is rented under MYBD conditions but the price includes 3-4 hours daily treks.

What is APA?
Except lease payments renter has to pay APA deposit which is used to compensate expenses for fuel, food, drinks and others. Usually APA is 25% of a yacht charter cost. When voyage is finished the captain gives you a full account on used pocket and returns all left money.
What is the difference between yacht charter and a rest on a cruise liner or in a hotel ashore?
In a hotel or on a board of a cruise liner you are always close to other foreign people, and usually that makes you feel uncomfortable. And on a chartered yacht you decide yourself who to take with. Only you choose the routing and what to taste for dinner. Yacht captain and experienced crew members will obey you for a journey time as if you are the owner.

What clothes will be needed on the board?
Everything depends on the voyage region. Rest on a board usually supposes free and easy atmosphere. So do not forget to take swimming suits, shorts, T-shirts. If you are going to have a trip in Mediterranean Azure Riviera it’ll be nice to take some black-tie dresses and suits. Don’t forget to take some sweaters; you’ll need them in case if you want to admire the stars late at night. Bags and rucksack are more practical on a boat so there is no need for huge suitcases.
How can we entertain ourselves on a boat?
It is more comfortable to rest when the yacht rides out. So we do recommend you make short trips not more than 3-4 hours. There is a great variety of interesting and funny things to do: water skiing, hydro cycles, diving, windsurfing, swimming, sunbathing, parties, going out to the night clubs and restaurants, shopping, sea fishing, various cultural program,….the list can be continued.

What’s the meal like?
We ask you beforehand to make a list of preferences in which you inform us about your culinary wishes. Highly qualified cookers work on the chartered boats so they are able to please any gourmand.
How many people are allowed on a boat?
A charter yacht can usually take on board up to 12 people. According to MCA principles more people on board during the voyage require more serious safety precaution. Anyway you can invite for a party on the yacht much more people while the boat rides out. It ‘s desirable if you inform us about your plans beforehand while booking a boat and we’ll chose a more suitable yacht for you.
May I take children?
For sure you may, but children should be constantly looked after. Sometimes guests take a baby-sitter or a governess for whom there is a special room on some boats. All responsibility for children lies on renter.
Are pets allowed on a boat?
Unfortunately pets are not allowed on most of the yachts if it was not agreed beforehand and reflected in a charter contract.
What influences the yacht cost?
The charter cost depends directly on a boat’s size. For sure the bigger the yacht the higher is the price. Newly hoisted out boats cost more than old ones except vintage yachts with rich history (such as Christina O, once belonged to Aristotelis Onassis).
Power yachts are usually rented with a higher price than sailing boats of the same size because of bigger useful space and higher prime cost. Sailing region influences the price as well. For instance a yacht charter in Caribbean Sea in winter will differ from the same in Mediterranean in summer time for 20-30%. Is it possible to rent a yacht any day?
Usually a yacht is chartered from Saturday till next Saturday except eventual charters for a day or two. However, if your plans require another timetable or more days than one week we will organize everything for you.
How to make a route?
There are typical routes in every sailing region. Your personal one will depend on your requires and wishes. Captains know their regions well and can perfectly orient. A yacht captain can advise and offer for your choice some routes so you can make your own route and conform it with the captain.
What insurances are needed?
The boat and the crew are insured by the owner. If you wish you can additionally insure yourself and you guests.
What passport and visa regimes hold on water?
The same as on land – all the passengers must have valid external passports and necessary visas to produce them to customs and migration services in different water areas and ports.
So if you charter a yacht on Aegean coast of turkey and want to make a voyage along Greek Islands you and all your guests should have valid Schengen visas.
Am I amenable to sea-sickness?
Almost all the people feel sea-sick. All depends on the sea behavior and boat’s size. If you began to feel bad don’t stay in cabin – go out on the deck, breath in the fresh air and at the horizon. Just to keep on the safe side do not forget to enter the drug-store and take some medicines. A well-tried remedy is ginger. Against to conventional wisdom alcohol doesn’t always effects positively. As a rule sea-sickness falls back in a day or two.
Is smoking allowed?
As a rule smoking as allowed on open decks and in special places. Some yachts are non-smoking at all and smoking is completely forbidden. Please inform us beforehand if there are smokers among your guests. We’ll keep it in mind while choosing a yacht for you.
How can I contact my friends and relatives while sailing?
Usually sailing goes along the shore so cell communication is available. In case if you decide to take to the open sea don’t worry – ocean yachts are equipped with all necessary outfit such as satellite phone and Internet, PCs, fax and printer.
Is all personal information confidential?
We never divulge names of our clients and if you wish we can include the gagging writ into the contract.
What’s the rate of TIPs?
All over the civilization it is common practice to tip. The rate depends on how you like the service. Usually it is 10% of a charter cost. It is preferable if you give tips to the captain and he shares the money among the crew. The bigger the boat the higher the charter cost and the more people serve you.
